My dormmates way back in college reminded me of our school's foundation day. There were 4 of us chatting in YM and we're having a great time reminiscing the past. Each of us had a very dramatic or shall we say colorful experience.
What a happy momentus to cherished.
It was still clear in my memory the fraternity that I joined. I just don't understand why...I was paddled 100 times at the back of my knees on my birthday. It was on the beach where the hazing took place. We're being blind-folded and they fed us the raw onions and egg white pretending that it's their saliva.
They just stopped paddling me when I felt the cramped in my knees. It was a nightmare for me. Every principle was a paddle to all the members. It wasn't a drama when I told them I felt a terrible pain in my knees. They believed me and no more paddle for me.
Horrible! When I woke up in the morning...I can't get up and I saw the blue, purple, red and green bruises both on my knees. I was so soar and afraid of all the bruises. Ice cubes were all over my knees...hu!
For me that was the biggest mistake I've done. Yes we're comrades, brothers and sisters but is there another way of being brod and Sis without hurting someone physically and emotionally.
It was a nightmare! Was it worth it? Yes, no and maybe... Until now, I still have a problem on my right knee but not so sure if it was the hazing session that cause this.
That was my very unforgettable experience during my college days. Of course, I studied hard and worked hard or I will be kicked out from my Dear school.
I'm so proud to be a part of the Sillimanian Family. Via, Veritas, Vita...the way, the truth and the LIFE!
