I was taking a shower when I heard someone opening the bathroom door and was crying. Our little girl woke up and opened our shower door, "Mama, I'm so scared with the wind. Sleep with me, please. "
I got off from the shower and took her to our bedroom where her Dada's soundlessly sleeping. Well, he woke up when he heard the commotion in our bed and he cuddled our little girl, making her safe and secured in his loving arms away from the ghostly wind while I finished my shower.
The hot H20 really feels good in my skin and it's helping me to wake up my sleepy eyes.
As I was driving, I can just hear and feel the horrible wind moving my car. No traffic on the way and those lights that I have to pass everyday were cooperating to be always in green color. I just made it to work within five minutes time frame.
Now that I'm inside the building, I can still hear the noise of the ghostly wind outside.
I remember my MA and PA talking about the "Habagat" and the "Amihan" wind in Pinas. Can't help the never ending blowing of the wind.
This windy weather we have right now reminds me of a very unforgettable experienced in Pinas with my neighbor and a classmate of mine in High School. Most of the time, we had to walk about a kilometer going to our school. It was only one peso for the fare to ride a tricycle but during those days, it's hard to find that amount if we have to ride five times a week going to school and coming home. My Pa had a meager income.
So, one day our neighbor (of course she's my friend) and I were walking in a very windy day. We're halfway to our school when this wind just blew our plated pink school skirts. I got the chance to hold my skirt in between my legs and covered it with my hands. I looked at my friend who got a folder on her hand and at the same time protecting her skirt. Can't control the calamity and her skirt just going upside down covering her face and she's almost half naked with just her cute yellow underwear on. There were other people walking too aside from us and she was screaming so loud to cover up herself. Of course she was so embarrassed and later on we had a loud laughed of the said incident.
Things happen unexpectedly and we're not in control of mother nature. Just be always ready and accept the fact that we have an avoidable circumstances in LIFE!
Anyhow, I need to go to the grocery store to buy some round fruits to be place in our table in preparation for the coming New Year. I also need to cook some food for our family to share together as we welcome the year 2009.
Got to go and start my day with a great smile in my face. Life is so precious, might as well enjoy it to the fullest!
