She's growing like a weed. I can't turn back the clock. We have to face the fact that our used to be a tiny baby is now a toddler. Watching her grow is just a triumph in our marriage/relationship or shall we say as a family.
She's the center of attraction in our clan. From her uncles, aunties, grannies and of course to us as her parents. Seems like everything revolves around her. What can I say, she has this cuteness in her that makes us happy. She's a joy and miracle that God entrusted to us.
At times, she throw a feet but it's pretty much understandable at her age/stage. She can carry a conversation over the phone or even in a face to face interaction with people we knew. To us, she has this non-stop and never ending story to tell. We never ignore her and just let her go. Here's how it goes...
A: Mom and Dad, I have a story to tell and I want you to listen. I can be your teacher, you know?
M&D: We're listening...
We asked her where she learn those and her reply was from her school at church. At the age of three, she knows the word "Jesus" and she even tells us that we can't see Jesus but Jesus can see us because He has this very big eyes. (Don't you just love kids?)
And yes, she's diaper or pull-ups free 24/7. It was two weeks ago that she started sleeping at night without pull-ups. (Hmmm...at least I have to crossed it out from my budget! wink...) Bonus to that, she's back sleeping on her own at Lo and La's bed. One time ,she dragged me with her to sleep in Lo and La's room after they left. It turns out to be a habbit of her to sleep every night on that room. We do want her to be sleeping with us since we get used to it but it's her own free will to be sleeping in another room. Technically, I have to put her to bed and then left the room once she falls asleep. It's been three nights in a row already that she slept without any interruption. I mean, for those previous evenings, she woke up in the middle of the night and cried. But today, she's still in bed as the time says 7:13 AM already. She went to bed last night around 9:00 PM. Wow! I'm just amazed how our piglet is adjusting to her childhood stage.
One time, she has this possessiveness of buying a nail polish. Every time I have to get out from our house, she has to run to our front door to give me a kiss and a hug plus the nail polish.
A: Mama, please buy me a nail polish.
M: Little one, why you want a nail polish? Mama don't use those stuff?
A: My friend got one and her Mama's not using it.
I came home one day without a nail polish in my hand. She was upset and started crying. My Hubby heard the cry of our little piglet and he was not happy with me too. He went out and headed to Walgreens to buy it. For me, the reason why I don't want it beacuse of its smell and the kind of disaster that it will create in our carpet. Our house is all goofed up anyway from her wall paintings, drawings and colors all over the place. She loves to draw and paints per observations. She has the drawing book and that doodle thingy but still she thinks the wall is more fun to draw with. (Sorry for the too much exaggeration...lolz!) Kids are kids and no matter what! We can't make our house to be spotless and neat. I just bite my tongue...
After 2-3 times of using her nail polish, she complaint that her fingers were ugly because of the red colors...hep, hep, hurray! My mourning turn into dancing...after that, I dumped that puppy in our trash.
On the other note, she has this eagerness to learn how to whistle. She's working hard on that part. She produces a little bit of sounds though. We'll see how far it goes. Sooner or later she will be whistling all over our place...ha! ha! (Hmmm...it will be the go signal of her BF when she reach that stage. Just one whistle from both of them and off our Angelina will be gone like a wind. Based from experience?...asked the expert! lolz!)
Fun or not, I have to share with you what comes out from Angelina's mouth.
The three of us were playing ( Da, Moi and her) and just woke up. What to expect when you just get out from your comfy bed? Listen to what Angelina said...wink!
A: Dada you look ugly! ( I mean she was staring her father with all his hairs sticking in the air plus the roughness of his beard.) You got poky face too.
Dada: That's not very nice and polite, Angelina.
A: It's true, Dada you look ugly but I still love you.
D: Oh that's so sweet of you!
I was laughing out loud and just made my morning.
D: What do you think of Mama, Angelina
A: Oh she's so pretty. She don't have those poky hair on her face and her hair is down.
We all laughed and Dada started taking a shower to make himself presentable to his family...he!he!
One more thing, Angelina knows about OLD, OLDER and OLDEST.
A: Dada, you think you are older than Mama? You have lots of wrinkles than Mama.
A: I think Grandpa is the oldest.
Morale of the Story: Don't be offended what your child just said. She/he's just telling the truth , you know?
