It was Friday morning that we woke up early than our regular schedule. FIL is diagnosed with CTS and a schedule procedure was being done at North Suburban Medical Center, a hospital nearby our place.
He is a typical American senior that went through lots of surgeries in his bodyor life in general. So far, the CTS is his 36th kind of surgery. That's how America takes care of his people.
So far, he's surgery was a success. Angelina's watching her grandpa the whole time and we even slept in my FIL's house the night after the surgery. It was my Hubby's idea and the three of us were all crunched in a standard bed in one of my FIL's room. Around 2:00 AM, I got up and grabbed a blanket then move to a couch where I can have a peaceful and soundless sleep.
It was my second time to sleep in FIL's house. The first?...t'was the first day and night of my arrival here in Colorado freshed from the Philippines.
Anyway, my FIL was very thankful of all the moral, spiritual and emotional support especially from his one and only grandchild Angelina. Their bonding were just amazing. One of a kind that I ever seen. FIL wants to spend more time with Angelina as much as he can. It makes his day going with all the entertainment that Angelina shows to her GRANDPA.
Saturday, I went out with two girlfriends for dinner. We were in the mood of eating crabs so, we ended up at Panda King by 44th and Wadsworth. We talked, talked and talked and just noticed that we've been sitting in the restaurant for 21/2 hours already. We're all stuffed and can't hardly breath. To ease our discomfort, we decided to stroll by Colorado Mills. It was a relief!
Sunday, despite of the snowy and gloomy weather, we made it to church. Dropped of my husband after the service then went to a Filipina's place for lunch and fun. The Pinakbet and Mechado were so yummy cooked in Ilokano style plus the salted eggs with diced tomatoes. We all watched the ASAP show being held in Pampanga while Angelina and Haylyn were busy playing and dancing.
Having fun in life is a great work out for our mind, body and soul. I'm thankful from Above for giving me a busy life from family, friends and work.
Enjoy your THURSDAY and stay warm. Here's the kids wanna have fun video!
