Great is thy faithfulness! The snow quit around 12:00 Noon yesterday and the route that I 'm heading were all cleared. Hubby called earlier during the day that he will pick me up if the condition get worst.
Thanks to Mark, my co-worker, who's working with the plow people in our area for telling me that the road were clear and it was safe for me to drive. It's just slushy and wet. So, I got hold of my Dear Pie and canceled his trip in picking me up but he still want me to call him before I leave the premises, which I did!
I just parked my car on the side street for the time being so I can start shoveling the 3-4 inches of snow in our driveway. Two of my lady neighbors from the east and west side were out too to clean their driveways. We talked for a little bit talking about the weather and how the snow being piled up.
I like shoveling the snow when it' s still soft opposite when it's sticking to the ground after our vehicles run over it. The reason, I parked our car in the street.
The weather was cold but I have gears to put on and once I start working, my body starts to warm up. I had a very good exercise and didn't bother to join my aerobic class that night.
After all the hard work, I went to a Filipina's house to pick up my share of Pinakbet that she cooked. It's 5 miles radius away from where I'm at. She was cooking some rice and fish too but I apologized of not eating and staying that long since my family didn't know where I was. I just brought my Pinakbet and fried fish.
I went back to my car and heard my cell phone ringing. Yeah, I left my toy in the car...it was my Hubby calling wondering where I am and thank me right away for shoveling our driveway.
"How did you know,it was me who shoveled the snow not Dad?" I asked him.
It was the time frame I got off from work...he told me. They were asleep while I was outside though...
Since I was so hungry, I pigged out with the food I had while watching my Filipino
Soap Opera on TV. Our Angelina was enjoying the fish too with vinegar and soy sauce in it.
While my girl and I were concentrating with our teleserye, Hubby's in the kitchen preparing our dinner.
This time he's cooking Rib Eye Steak, Steamed Broccoli and baked Potato.
He prepared early so we can watch the premiere season of "24" that started last Sunday.
It is our favorite tele-series on Fox 31.Yesterday and last Sunday were two hours long series. I can't just take my eyes away from the TV. Since I missed the beginning of the season premiere because of my being laagan ( strike anywhere), I let Hubby flashback to me the whole episode.
Let me tell you something about this series on TV...
Jack Bauer, Tony, Bill and Chloe are my favorite characters. Yes, "24" is full of drama, violence, action, suspense and some comedy. Hubby and I can't wait for next Monday on what would happen to Jack and Tony playing as an undercover agents with the terrorist people. All I know, the President from Africa was being locked up for his safety so the terrorist guys won't kidnap him but it is a must that he needs to get out so they will get the right person who's in the bottom of all the terrorist acts. Too bad, the place where the African President was locked up can't be open anymore from the outside. It's only the President can open it from the inside... stay tune or watch it for yourselves...
Very impressive!
Anyway, Today...after all the snow we got...it's very cold outside. Never have to complain since we chose to live in beautiful, colorful Colorado. Just enjoy the weather and have fun as a human being.
There's a reason for everything on earth! Stay warm and keep smiling knowing that you can count on me!
